Scrap Connection is a celebration of friendships and having wonderful girlfriends. It is a fun resource for ideas and inspiration among scrappers.
FAQ: What is your Marketing Plan
(Implemented by September 1st, 2008):
Submit websites on to all search engines available, e.g. Google, Yahoo!, etc.
Offer a Cozy Scrapper Affiliate program through Shareasale.com. Affiliates place banners on their websites. If a purchase is made from a click that was from their website (managed through Shareasale.com), they will receive 10% of sales. This will gain exposure from other sites through banner advertising.
Spend a monthly amount for Cozy Scrapper and Scrap Connection with Google AdWords. Spend a limited budget with Yahoo! Search Marketing, MIVA Network and Bidvertiser.
Promote both websites through a shared monthly newsletter of Cozy Scrapper and Scrap Connection. It currently has an email list of almost 700 subscribers that will receive the invitation to download the Scrap Connection directory. This list was obtained only from 2 events, so the list will continue to grow immensely.
Both websites will be cross-marketed at tradeshows. Attendees will receive printed marketing materials promoting both websites.
Send an e-press release promoting Scrap Connection's debut on September 1, 2008 to scrapbooking stores across the nation. We currently have a list of 478 scrapbook stores. Stores will be encouraged to pass the news on to their own email lists or download the e-directory themselves and have it in their stores. These stores are also on the monthly email list.
Have other useful information in the e-directory that useful to scrapbookers, e.g. recipes, theme ideas, packing tips, etc.
Cozy Scrapper gains a lot of exposure through its hosted all-day crop: Get Inspired Scrapbooking expo. It is a 15-hour crop and was held on November 1st, 2008 for its second year. It was a huge hit and sold out at 278 scrappers.
This is just a quick overview of what we're going to be doing for marketing. Is it worth $150? I absolutely think so! Having the same advertisement in a magazine tends to be overlooked after a while - it stops "breaking through the clutter". This reaches scrappers on a consistent basis - through both an online and offline effort.
